DARt referenced in the Next Step DCSF Guidelines as good practice

DCSF Next Steps

Idaho's Data Anlysis and Reporting tool, being implemented across Greater Manchester, has been featured in the DCSF Next Steps report. Alison Cresswell of Greater Manchester LSC quotes several benefits of the DARt tool in the document. One example is to 'identify if there is an under or oversupply of provision offered. This has been looked at by level of course, by sector, subject area, and by specific courses. It has also been looked at by providers in a given locality.'

    XCRI puts courses into line

    Idaho undertook the first XCRI pilot in Greater Manchester in 2008 which gives us more experience than any other supplier in this emerging standard. XCRI is heavily featured in the latest DCSF next steps document. We have developed a fully working XCRI prospectus publishing tool and an XCRI connector to allow two way sharing of data between prospectuses. Our next generation prospectus features a user friendly, fully searchable directory of education including level 3 and the opportunity to apply for courses through our integration with the ILP and CAP. Information advice and guidance is given by Careerstube videos that appear in context.
